Removing Processes from Products

Introduction

Products can have Processes built into them and in turn have charges added to the sell price of a product. When you first install AwardPro the program comes with some processes built into products such as General Sports trophies, Medals, Perpetuals, Glass and Crystal Trophies and Acrylic Trophies.

You can elect to leave them there and set prices to suit you Business or remove them entirely form the Products. This document shows you how to remove them.

Removing Processes from Sports Awards

There are three processes that need to be removed and it only takes a minute to entirely remove them.

· Trophy Engraving

· Medal Engraving

· Perpetual Trophy Engraving

To Remove these from all Products.

This action removes them permanently from all products. As all three processes have not got any price factor (they re all set by default as $0.00) the retail price of the product will not be effected.

1. Go to Products Module > Process Editor

2. Select each of the above process and press "Remove from Products"

Remove Processes from Glass, Crystal and Acrylic Awards.

There are eight processes that need to be removed and it only takes a minute to entirely remove them.

· Artwork Type Setting

· Glass Trophy Engraving Small

· Glass Trophy Engraving Medium

· Glass Trophy Engraving Large

· Glass Paperweight Engraving

· Acrylic Trophy Engraving Small

· Acrylic Trophy Engraving Medium

· Acrylic Trophy Engraving Large

These processes are built into all Glass, Crystal and Acrylic Awards and they all have a default price set which is currently contributing the defined sell price of the awards. You have already set Product Types Glass, Crystal and Acrylic Trophies to your desired mark up know you just need to deal with the process charge and if you are reading this part of the help document you do not want t include process charges in these types of products. You must just want to use a mark up and perhaps add engraving charges as a separate Line Item.

Consideration:

You could leave these processes in the products and simply set them to zero and set the Process Type Assignment to what it is you do. This would change the price down to Mark Up only and leave them there dormant in the Product allowing you to decide later if you want to permanently remove them. It may be the case that later on you decide to build in the price of engraving of these type of products and if so you would simply add a price value to each process and the retail price would adjust accordingly.

To Remove these from all Products.

This action removes them permanently from all products. The retail price will change accordingly and will only reflect the mark up you have set in the Mark Up Centre.

1. Go to Products Module > Process Editor

2. Select each of the above process and press "Remove from Products"
