Adding Components to a Sale

AwardPro is design to sell Products and Processes. A product is made up of components. Even a Resin Figure is made up of components..... 1 x Resin Figure and 1 x Engraving Plate. So in general you should add products to a sales order and these produces will have the components within them.

However.......... Components can be added directly as a line item to a sales order simply by choosing components in the Item Type drop down at the Job Item Screen. If you add components as a line item

When you add components directly to a sales line the component is marked up based on the mark up allocated to the components type. In the below example Medals are marked up at 180%. So if you add a medal to a sales order as a component you get the mark up based on the component types mark up. The problem is though that suppliers provide recommended retail prices which are not likely to be the same as the components Components type mark up so by adding the component as a component you do not get recommended retail.

ONLY WEHN YOU ADD THE MEDAL AS A PRODUCT DO YOU GET RECOMENDED RETAIL PRICE if you use recommended retail.
