Introduction

Production Management incorporates Information Gathering, Work Scheduling, Job Tracking, Planning of Job Stages and Time Recording. It keeps all jobs organised in date order and helps you stay on top of production by providing accurate and up to date information at any time.

 

AwardPro Provides tools and real time data to help you stay in control of every job. The Job Planning system provides a facility for planning steps and seeing them either on track or not on track with visual flags that take the memory out of managing a large amount of jobs at once.

 

Production Management starts with writing a sales order.

The sales department need to:

·         Fill in information about the job clearly and attach files if necessary .

·         Make sure they add a Job Reference text to identify what the job is about. (e.g. - Glass Trophies)

·         Fill in the date details such as when input info has been promised or received

 

On the Sales order form

By adding a Job reference to jobs you provide a "description", "identifier" for the job so when you are working in the Outstanding Job Schedule you can see at a glance what the job is about.

 

Adding in Details Promised By or Details Received date flags this status at the Outstanding Jobs screen so that all staff working on the job can see the status at a glance. This information is printed on the Job Sheet at the time of printing.

 

Each department checks of their work as they complete their part

·         As production team complete their part of the job they check the completion box on the Outstanding Job Schedule so that all staff can see the status of the job.

·         When they check off their part of the job on the Outstanding Job Schedule a date and time stamp and the person making the action is registered on the Jobs Management page allowing all to see when it was done and who did it.

 

The Production Manager keeps track of all jobs

·         The Production Manager keeps track of all jobs by regularly viewing the outstanding job schedule.

·         They add Job Status Notes to jobs so they can remember all the progress issues and other team members can see the situation and add notes as well.

·         The Production Manager checks the schedule everyday and ensures that all jobs are on track.

·         Jobs with an Individual Job Plan are flagged on the schedule. They are blue if on track or appear in a red bar if they are not on track. This is a great way of keeping complex jobs on track providing a visual alert to jobs not on track.
