Product and Component Mark Up

Generally speaking, AwardPro wants you to sell Products and Products are grouped in Product Types (General Sports, Glass Trophies, Plaques etc) These Product Types can all have the same or different standard Mark Ups. You might mark up glass trophies higher than general sports for example. So Product Types have a Mark Up standard.

You can actually also sell components at the sales screen Say somebody comes into the store and just wants to buy a blank 19703 plaque or an 8080 plastic figure. You need to be able to add a component directly to the sales screen and you can. But the 8080 figure needs a mark up standard so all components have a set standard Mark Up. This mark Up is batched by Component Type.

Recommended Retail Price.

As a business you have a standard Mark up. If you decide to create your own designs or the customer wants to make up there own design you have a mark up figure that you use don't you. But then this rule gets thrown out the window if you use Recommended Retail Prices for your sports catalogues because the suppliers all set a RRP and they are all slightly different and in fact not exactly consistent with what they say becasue they will often round down to amke a $7.13 item $6.95.
