Components are parts, products and processes that you buy from suppliers. The parts may be a part to make up a Trophy such as a base. Even complete products such as a Polo Shirt is at purchase point a component. Out sourced supplier processes such as embroidery are also components in the first instance. Everything purchased form a supplier starts of as a component and becomes a product.

Components can be sold directly if you prefer not to make a Product with a Bill of Materials. You simply select 'Job Item Type' - 'Component' at the add Job Item selection on the Job Item screen.

Components are entered into the system grouped by the supplier that we buy the part from. Sometimes we need to transfer a part form one supplier listing to another. This may occur if we find a better supplier for a component or if the original supplier ceases to exit and we find an alternative supplier.

AwardPro is designed to make it easy to get your component lists into the system. You can manually add them in one by one or import a complete suppliers list.
