Introduction

A Process Type is something you do. Diamond Engraving, Laser Engraving, Sand Blasting, Paint filling, Sublimation are all process's. Process types have processes within them such as Trophy Plate engraving, Ribbon engraving etc.

·         Processes are things you do in your business such as engraving trophy plates, embroidering 1000, Sand stitches, Blasting Glassware, Vinyl Printing etc.

·         Processes get grouped into Process Types such as Engraving, Embroidery, Sand Blasting.

·         Process Types then get associated to a Department such as Engraving, Embroidery, Sand Blasting, Sign Shop.

·         Each department in your business can have multiple process types associated to it.

·         Each Process Type can have multiple Processes associated to it.

·         To manage Process Types go to System Set Up > Process Types

How to Create a new Process Type.

1.      Open the Process Types Editor from System Set Up

2.      Press Add

3.      Enter new Process Type

4.      Select a Department to assign the Process Type to.

5.      Save.

Installation Notes

When the program is first installed it comes with a set of standard  Process Types. These types have Processes assigned to them. A process Type can not be deleted until it has no Process Assignments. Processes can be deleted or re-assigned to different Process Types.

I do not recompensed deleting processes or Process Types when you are getting started. Best to leave in the system until you fully understand the system. They won't get in the way. You can edit Process Types and add a zzz to the front of their title so as to move them to the end of the list.
