Process Type: Laser Engraving, Embroidery, Sand Blasting are Process types

Process: Laser Engrave Plaque, laser cut Acrylic, Trophy Engraving, Etch Glass trophy are all Processes within their appropriate Process Types.

 

Introduction

Processes such as Engraving, Sand Blasting, Embroidery etc are listed and standard prices are set so that all staff can apply correct pricing for such services.

 

Quantity breaks can be set making your pricing system constantly consistent. 

 

Processes can be added to a product or added directly to a sales order.

 

Process are connected to a department which allows you to see exactly how much the sales for a given process was for any given time.

 

They also instigate work scheduling to departments when they are added to an order.

 

Process are based on Process Types which are assigned to departments. This allows departments to gather work requirements for work scheduling and also sales values for department sales reports.

 

So Process Types Have Processes. E.g. Process Type - Engraving has a processes such as Trophy Plate Engraving, Medal Engraving, Bracelet Engraving. Each process can have a unique price structure and quantity break.

 

When is a process a component?

When you are buying a process from another company then these processes should be marked as a component so that it can be ordered through the supplier order system.

 

If you have an embroidery machine you would regard this as a Process. You would set a sell price for your Process and sell it as a process.

 

If you do not have an Embroidery Machine and outsource when you require Embroidery then that should be considered a component.

 

Pen suppliers often offer the complete service of Imprinting the Pen before sending to you. In this case the Pen Product Should have am imprint component in it's BOM. This way both the pen and the imprint gets automatically ordered.
